Chittum Family Photographs
This collection consists of two CDs of photographs of the Charles H. Chittum Family and descendants. There are also paper copies and identified with genealogy and some family biographical history. Collection includes 1920s era pamphlet written by Charles H. Chittum, in which he tells the story of how he discovered the coffin which was used for Robert E. Lee's burial. Collection also includes some early outdoor views of Lexington, Va.
Christian Social Services Report, Lexington, Virginia
This file consists of a handwritten report of work accomplished in Christian Social Services from April 20th to July 15th of an unspecified year (likely in the 1930s). The report is written in first person. Christian Social Services helped provide food, clothes, and other needs for citizens living in poverty. The report includes a list of members of the group, with their resposibilities as far as charitable work.
City Manger's Report on Lexington, Virginia Downtown Restoration Project
The collection consists of the report submitted to the Virginia Municipal League by Lexington City Manager John Doane in April of 1978 concerning the restoration of the city's central business district. The report contains before-and-after photographs by Tom Bradshaw and the signature of the late Mayor Charles F. Phillips.

This collection consists of one original letter to Alexander Cockrell, a student at Washington and Lee University, from Miss Sallie Bullington, a family friend; one photocopy of a letter dated Oct. 24, 1874, from Frank Cockrell, a student at Washington and Lee, to his brother Alexander, a graduate of Washington and Lee; and a photocopy of a letter dated Dec. 25, 1875, from Frank Cockrell to his mother.
